Who Can Register?
Any approved charity organization, foundation, not-for-profit organization, or government or non-government organization is eligible to register with Donate Direct. Individuals working for approvedd disaster-relief programs are also eligible.
Registration is FREE!!
Individuals working at the charity may register on behalf of the organization as a charity representative. There is no limit to the number of charity representatives who can register for any one charity.
Social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, case managers (including in mental health workers), homeless team workers and team managers who work directly with underprivileged individuals are also eligible to register - sign in as a Support Worker.
How to Use this Site
If you are work at a charity organisation you can use this FREE online service in one of two ways:
Request an item needed for a client
You will be automatically notified by email once your item becomes available. If the item is already available you will be automatically matched.
Select one or more items from the Donated Items page that your client(s) requires
Conditions of charity participation
DonateDirect is based on the philosophy that all donated items must reach intended recipients – those most at need. This means that participating charities must not re-sell items, donate items to shops, or use items for any other purpose.

DonateDirect is happy to announce that we will begin processing donations as of June 9th, 2020, in line with the further easing of other government restrictions.
To ensure that donated items are obtained safely, please ensure to maintain physical distancing (1.5 metres distance between persons and ensuring 4 square metres of space per person) and practise good hygiene when collecting or receiving items from donors including washing hands or using alcohol-based hand sanitiser before handling items to be donated. Please do not collect or receive any donated items if you feel unwell have even the mildest symptoms of coronavirusCOVID-19 including fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, runny nose, or loss of sense of smell, headache, muscle soreness, stuffy nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea or fatigue.
Please do not collect or receive any donated items if you have been in close contact with a person who was diagnosed with COVID-19 and / or if DHHS has advised you to be in self-quarantine. We also ask that the number of persons attending a collection of any donated items be kept to a minimum.
We understand that you may already have your own policies and procedures in the workplace to manage COVID-19.
